Jo was appointed Chief Executive in May 2021 having joined Newsworks the previous year as Managing Director. Jo has extensive experience in the sector from her client-side roles at Cadbury and AB InBev to agency roles at Carat, Vizeum and Dentsu Aegis Network.
EA to Jo Allan
Delores has worked with the company since its launch in 2003. As well as PA duties, she is involved in organising all of the company’s events. Delores has more than 20 years of experience in the media industry, previously within creative agencies.
Lewis first joined Newsworks in November 2019 as insight executive, before joining its comms team in June 2021. He looks after Newsworks’ content both on its website and across social media.
Research and Insight Director
Heather joined Newsworks in September 2023. She is responsible for spearheading Newsworks’ thought leadership and helping to amplify insights to media agencies and advertisers. She has 16 years of industry experience with previous roles at Joshua G2 and Publicis Media.
Finance & Operations Director
Nick joined Newsworks in September 2019 and is responsible for finance and operations. Nick has 20 year’s experience in the media industry, initially starting his career at DMGT before moving to Dentsu Aegis Network.
Sam joined Newsworks in December 2016 and is responsible for the development of Newsworks’ website and all its presence on digital platforms.
Trade Marketing and PR Director
Liz joined Newsworks in 2012 and is responsible for PR, marketing and communications, including the website, newsletters and social media channels. Before Newsworks, Liz was the editor of Mediatel’s media news, opinion and research site Newsline.
Coral joined Newsworks in November 2022. She comes from a creative media background, having previously studied fashion styling and creative direction at university. Her role includes editorial, social media and design work.
Agency & Client Relations Director
Mel joined Newsworks in January 2023 to help strengthen our relationship with media agencies and advertisers, as well as raising the profile of news brands and opportunities for investment. Mel has over 25 years’ experience in media across brand partnerships and strategy, including 13 years at Channel 4 and more recently at Havas Media.
Imogen joined Newsworks in September 2023. A highly experienced data-led professional, she previously held several insight roles at Mintel, Kantar and Enders Analysis.
Director of Communications
As a thirteen-year-old Rupert appeared in an ad campaign for The Observer with the tagline: If you want to get ahead in media start with The Observer. Since then he hasn’t looked back. Rupert joined Newsworks in September 2019.
Director of Agency and Client Services
Niki joined Newsworks in May 2017 to oversee client services and strategy planning. Her core remit is to forge ever stronger relationships between Newsworks, advertisers and the agency community. Before Newsworks, Niki was a managing partner at Havas Media.
