Newsworks and Bluestripe Group’s work around the ‘Back don’t Block’ campaign has been nominated for a PRWeek award in the category ‘Best crisis comms around the coronavirus’.
‘Back don’t Block’ united the UK’s newspaper publishers and industry trade bodies to call on advertisers to support trusted quality journalism during the Covid-19 crisis, as the industry was expected to lose £50 million from advertising blocklists.
An open letter was published across all national media asking advertisers to remove blocklists from trusted UK news brands to ensure they can continue to fund quality British journalism at a time of national crisis.
Chosen by industry experts, the awards programme applaud the very best in campaigns, agency and in-house teams and individuals across corporate, financial and public affairs in the UK.
