ABC: Newsbrands reach 28 million browsers daily in August

The official ABC figures for August 2018 show that the UK national newspaper market reached 28 million digital browsers every day during the month.

MailOnline, received an average of 11.7 million unique daily browsers, working out to 166 million browsers over the course of the month.

Metro attracted 45.7 million unique browsers in August, a 26% month on month increase. The title also saw its daily traffic grow by 31% over the same period. 

Reach, formerly known as Trinity Mirror Group Digital, recorded 9 million average unique browsers daily, totalling to 149.7 million unique browsers throughout the month – up 11% year on year.

The Sun’s daily traffic averaged at 4.9 million unique browsers a day, totalling at just under 79 million total monthly browsers.

Overall, print circulation remained stable with the market down just 0.3% month on month. The Sun and The Sun on Sunday reported increases of 1.1% and 1.05% month on month respectively. The Evening Standard’s circulation also saw a rise of 1% on last year.
