MailOnline launches new 'sidebar of fame' video player

The autoplay native video format, Branded Video, gives clients prime position in the 'sidebar of fame' and will deliver 1 million views of over 10 seconds, according to the Mail.

Sitting in a specially created new unit in the sidebar, the new format appears across all MailOnline pages.

The videos are created by the MailOnline sponsored content team, working with production experts, ensuring every piece fits seamlessly with the site's content. The video content will autoplay in full view and the player can be clicked, either to expand to full screen, or to lead back to a landing page of the client's choice.

Anne Shooter, commercial editor at Mail Advertising, said: "This launch follows the huge success of MailOnline's sponsored content offering, which now guarantees over 400,000 reads of each article, and the incredible rise of video content on the site, which now logs more than 50 million video views per month in the UK alone."

The platform is now live on desktop with mobile and tablet ready to launch.
