Going back to school

Three weeks after schools reopened, print and online branded content look at how it’s going.

On 1st June, reception and year one and six students in England went back to school after Covid-19 measures where put in place to keep teachers and pupils safe. Last week, they were also joined by years 10 and 12.

This week’s branded content on education takes a personal look at how teachers, parents and pupils are getting on with the new measures in place and explains how important it is for children to be back in school with their peers.

One sponsored story includes year 10 performing arts student Elstella Awaritefe who recounts her positive experiences of what returning to school has meant to her and the measures her school in Chatham, Kent have taken to make the environment safe (via The Times).

Another branded content piece features a parent in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire who talks about how her children's school has reassured her that it is safe after introducing strict measures such as social distancing, encouraging hand sanitising and one-way systems (via Witney Gazette).

This is the latest branded content that has gone live across England as part of an advertising partnership launched between the government and newspaper industry in April, aimed at keeping the public safe and nation united throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
