Pride of Britain 2020

The Daily Mirror's Pride of Britain Award in partnership with TSB celebrates the achievements of ordinary people.

Although 2020 has been an incredibly tough year for many, some have gone out of their way to make it more bearable.

From food shopping for those who have had to isolate to charity fundraisers, we have seen some amazing acts of kindness, support and love during the pandemic.

Broadcasted on ITV last night and hosted by Carol Vorderman, the virtual awards ceremony followed a different format this year with a host of celebrities presenting awards to recipients including David Beckham, Prince Charles, Michael Sheen and Holly Willoughby.

Some of this year’s winners included Captain Tom Moore who won a Special Recognition award after raising a staggering £32million for the NHS after walking laps of his garden. Another Special Recognition award went to the NHS frontline heroes who have so bravely put their life on the line for us all during the coronavirus pandemic. You can explore all of this year’s amazing winners here.

If you missed this year’s Pride of Britain show, you can watch it again on catch up via ITV Hub
