Trinity Mirror launches Mirror Media Ireland

Trinity Mirror revealed its new corporate brand, Mirror Media Ireland, during a trade event in Dublin on Thursday.

The new brand will represent the publishing group’s output in Ireland – as well as Northern Ireland – which includes localised print editions of the Irish Daily and Sunday Mirror, regional Irish Daily Mirror e-editions and the newly launched Irish Mirror website (

Joanne McGreevy, Mirror Media Ireland’s managing director, said the new division “represents our revitalised and extended cross media offering and our commitment as a progressive publishing business, keen to bring new audiences to our advertisers and new and convenient formats to our readers. Our print brands have enjoyed considerable success in Ireland over the years and we hope that this success continues with our new digital platforms.”

The move follows last month’s launch of the Irish Daily Mirror’s stand-alone website and e-edition, with the Irish Daily Mirror being the first red top to have launched an e-edition in the Republic of Ireland. The new digital editions will provide exclusive Irish news online, alongside stories from the Daily Mirror’s UK platforms.
