The Times runs News Corp split ad

A double page ad features in today’s Times publicising last week’s division of Rupert Murdoch's company.

'Day 1' is emblazoned across the double page spread, with one side of the ad featuring the new News Corp logo and affiliated publishers and the other carrying the 21st Century Fox logo and its entertainment businesses.

Both pages carry the tag line 'Looking Forward to the Future’, echoing the words of Mike Darcey, chief executive of the newly branded News UK, speaking about the rebrand of News International last week: "This is an exciting time and I feel privileged to be leading News UK as it begins a bright new chapter."

Robert Thomson, the new chief executive of News Corp, reinforced this sentiment: "We are continuing a proud tradition and fashioning a prosperous future in the new News Corp. We have a valuable collection of complementary companies and our task is to make the new News more than the sum of these distinguished parts."

Last Friday, the newly individual companies were formally floated on the stock market.
