News UK issues brief for digital agency

The publisher of The Times and The Sun has launched a brief for an agency to provide product development and CRM support.

The brief reportedly consists of five tasks, two of which relate to CRM and three to digital delivery, and is aimed at non incumbent agencies.

News UK’s relationship with Team News, a WPP agency unit that was launched to service News UK, is not affected by the search, which has the direct involvement of the News UK digital delivery team.

The search for a digital agency coincides with Sun+’s exclusive digital coverage of the Barclays Premiere League, which begins this Saturday.

Sun+, which launched at the beginning of the month, has already attracted 340,000 subscribers according to industry experts, which is the figure Enders Analysis stated the site would have to attract in order to cover its outlays and advertising losses after going behind a paywall.
