Telegraph launches supplement with Sky Sports

The newspaper’s partnership with the sports channel consists of a weekly sponsored supplement, ‘Telegraph Total Football’, which will be introduced on Monday.

The first copy of the new supplement will include a preview of the upcoming Barclays Premier League football season including Henry Winter’s view of the title race, Alan Smith’s predictions of where each team will finish, an in depth guide to every club and a fixtures wallchart.

For the duration of the football season the supplement will be available in Monday’s Daily Telegraph and will include content from chief sports writer Paul Hayward, football correspondent Henry Winter, football analyst Alan Hansen, with insight and interviews from Alan Smith.

Telegraph Total Football, which will also be available as an iPad edition, will be supported by a month-long digital outdoor marketing campaign at London mainline stations.

Adam Sills, sports editor at The Daily Telegraph, said: “We are delighted to be launching Telegraph Total Football, a dedicated section every Monday, which will be the best place to catch up with the weekend’s action. Our unrivalled team of writers will provide brilliant coverage of the Barclays Premier League, Sky Bet Football League, European Football and much more, and set the scene for the week ahead.

“Alongside Britain’s only separate daily sports section, which will continue comprehensive and outstanding coverage of everything away from football, it will be the definitive Monday sports package.”

Nick Green, sport sponsorship manager at TMG, added: “We are thrilled to be working with Sky Sports to produce Telegraph Total Football. This is a new and exciting opportunity and testament to the fantastic sports partnerships The Telegraph offers to brands.”

Other publications are also preparing for the impending football season, with The Sun launching an online Premier League TV show last week and The Times this week introducing a digital goals hub.
