"All in, all together": behind the scenes

We take a look at the making of the government’s ‘All in, all together’ advertising campaign.

Last Friday was a historic day for the newspaper industry. The government’s COVID-19 advertising campaign ‘All in, all together’ hit newspaper stands on Friday morning with a very special cover wrap.

Hundreds of local and national newspapers up and down the country carried the message “Stay at home for the NHS, your family, your neighbours, your nation the world and life itself” urging people to stay safe and unite during the coronavirus crisis.

We would like to thank everyone who worked tirelessly to make this happen (at a safe social distance of course) - from the designers to those working at print sites across the country - this was a true team effort!

As Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Minister for the Cabinet Office Michael Gove said in a statement announcing the partnership: “Newspapers are the lifeblood of our communities and we need them now more than ever.”

The cover wrap is part of a three-month government advertising partnership with the industry. The campaign also kicked off with a homepage takeover across hundreds of titles.
