ABC: Newsbrands experience universal growth

The latest ABC online figures, for May 2013, show MailOnline had its best month yet, with all national newspaper websites continuing to grow.

MailOnline had another bumper month, posting a healthy 46.8% year on year increase in daily average unique browsers, which are now up to more than 8.2 million. Its total monthly figure rose to almost 129 million unique browsers - its highest number yet.

The Independent also saw substantial growth, with its daily average unique browsers up 68.8% year on year and its total monthly figure rising by 72.5% year on year – giving it over 26 million browsers in May.

Following on from April's large gains, Mirror Digital Group had another great month with daily average unique browsers increasing by 62.2% year on year, while its monthly browsers rose by 64.7% (to 26.3 million). posted 83 million monthly unique browsers and over 4.6 million daily average unique browsers.

The Sun's website recorded a 16.4% year on year increase, which earned it almost 1.8 million daily average unique browsers, while the number of monthly browsers visiting its website grew by a similar amount (18.0%).

Meanwhile, The Telegraph's site witnessed a 12.7% year on year rise to 2.9 million daily average unique browsers. Its total monthly figure sits at 57.1 million.
