Newsworks Planning Awards 2014

Newsworks Planning Awards 2014 celebrates the UK’s outstanding planning talent in media agencies and beyond.

The Newsworks Planning Awards returned for a second year in 2014 following the success of Newsworks' inaugural awards, which were established to recognise newsbrands in a multi-platform environment and on multi-media schedules. 

The awards define standards of excellence in media planning across national newsbrands, rewarding innovative and talented planners. 2014 winners included Manning Gottlieb OMD, PHD, Initiative, OMD UK, Carat and MediaCom. 

The 2014 jury was led by HSBC's global head of marketing Amanda Rendle and included senior figures from clients and agencies, as well as Newsworks' Rufus Olins and Vanessa Clifford. 

The awards were across six categories:

  • Best topical campaign

  • Omnimedia award
  • Best use of content
